A good breakfast can honestly save lives. Bonus points if it is not only delicious, but easy to make. I like easy. My French toast recipe checks them all. Here's a little secret just for my readers, use unsliced bread to come up with thicker slices than the regular sliced bread. The results are so much better!
French Toast Recipe (makes 3 slices)
Ingredients
Unsliced bread enough for 3 slices
1 large egg
3/4 Tbsp. of sugar or to taste
A pinch of salt
A drizzle of water
Oil for frying
Method
Beat the egg, sugar, salt and water in a plate until well combined.
Slice your bread into 3/4 inch slices.
Dip your bread in the wet mixture to coat both sides and shake off the excess.
Fry both sides using a little oil (I use 1 Tbsp. for each slice on a non stick pan).
Serve and enjoy!
