There's no greater feeling in the world than touching someone's life and knowing that the impact you've made will live on even when you are not present.
That's the beauty of engineering. The projects we do revolutionize a society in a way that transforms their lives almost completely if not permanently in unimaginable ways. Whether its a housing unit that replaces shanties, bridges that provide access from one point to another and water that brings life to a community, the comparison between before and after is like black and white.

Engineering is an honorable profession and is sort of an extension of God's hands on earth since an engineer's core mandate is to extend creation by fruitfully harnessing all the resources the universe has to offer. So trust an engineer's output to be next to godliness and avoid seeking cost cutting measures that result in death.
I am proud to be an engineer. I am proud whenever I get to do all that appertains to it. That extra weight that is taken off a beneficiary's shoulder is worth every strain that goes into ensuring a project is not only complete but also successful in achieving what it was meant to do.
