Blessed are the humble. Indeed, truer words were never spoken. The ones who dare to stand next to someone with an overflowing fountain of knowledge that makes them realize their inadequacy.

I consider it the greatest of opportunities whenever I get to walk hand in hand with a more experienced engineer than myself. My hunger for knowledge is usually evident when my ear becomes sharper, my eyes become wider and my head turns in all directions as I take everything in.
Like all other professions, engineering draws power from knowledge which comes with experience gained over time. The kind of power that eliminates vulnerability because you know right from wrong. The kind that makes people stop and listen to what you have to say.
Sometimes you may feel like you will never measure up, but remember, growth is not instantaneous. The people you look up to were also where you are at some point in their lives. The journey of a thousand miles is really just an accumulation of one step at a time.
